Hobbs-Wickersham Society
Millersville University's Hobbs-Wickersham Society recognizes the generous
contributions of individuals who ensure the long-term stability and growth
of Millersville University through their estate plans, with gifts of any
amount. The Hobbs-Wickersham Society was inaugurated in 1998, and the
Society includes over 400 donors whose gifts totaling more than $35
million support the mission of the University through bequests, life
income, and other estate plans to benefit Millersville University students.
Members of the Hobbs-Wickersham Society make an impact for future students
through planned gifts by creating new scholarships, funding lectures,
providing for library acquisitions, establishing opportunities for
research, contributing to athletics, and assisting in countless other
areas. The name of the Hobbs-Wickersham Society recognizes two leaders who
were instrumental in founding what today is Millersville University,
Reverend Lewis M. Hobbs and Dr. James P. Wickersham.
The generosity of Hobbs-Wickersham Society members to invest in the
students at Millersville University provides extraordinary opportunities
for generations of future students. In appreciation of the contributions of
Hobbs-Wickersham Society members, the University hosts a variety of events,
receptions, shows and lectures to which members are invited.
